Welcome to Programme for Sustainable Development. We are a grass-roots Bangladesh-based NGO working towards sustainability through education.
Education and microcredit are two of our focus area to achieve sustainability among the underprivileged.
Extreme poverty, poor living standard in slum, and children doing nothing or working at a very early stage deprived from education -- these spurred us to do something back in 2000. We started with 20 students, begged and reasoned to the parents of slum dwellers. After a decade we have three schools: two in Dhaka, one in Rangamati for the indigenous children. We have a strong microcredit program that is easy, but immensely helpful for on the borrowers.
